Creating lines
A line is a production line within a site — the layer between a site and the machines on it. Open a site and click Add line to create one.
Name, code, and status
Name is required; a Line code (for example GRIND-2) is optional. Status is one of Active, Idle, or Decommissioned.
Shifts per day
How many shifts this line runs (1, 2, or 3). This normalizes check frequency across lines with different shift patterns, so a single-shift line and a 3-shift line can be compared fairly.
What's made here
A short free-text description — for example “Cylinder heads, aluminum” — used for search and cross-site reporting.
Supervisor
Name, email, and phone, kept for reference. This is not an alert recipient — recipients for a site’s alerts are configured under Contacts on the site itself, one level up.
