Recording Checks: jump to another article

Working offline

Manufacturing floors aren’t always connected, so KeepSpec is built to keep working when the signal drops — not just to show a loading spinner until it comes back.

Browsing works offline

Your sites, lines, and machines, plus each machine’s last 30 days of check history, are kept in a cache on the device. You can look any of that up with no connection at all.

Recording a check works offline too

Tap Save check with no signal and the reading is queued immediately — it appears at the top of the machine’s history right away, marked Not sent yet, rather than sitting behind a spinner that looks like nothing happened. Once the device reconnects, queued checks send automatically in the background; you don’t need to do anything to make that happen.

One thing to know: signing out discards unsent checks

Signing out clears everything stored on that device, including any checks still waiting to sync. If you have unsent checks, KeepSpec warns you before signing out and tells you exactly how many would be discarded — find a connection first if you can, so they have a chance to send before you sign out.
