Monitoring & Alerts: jump to another article

Acknowledging an alert

Open a machine with an active alert and you’ll see a red banner naming the violation, with an Acknowledge button. Tapping it is the only way to clear an alert — it doesn’t resolve itself over time.

What acknowledging actually does

It clears every open alert on that machine at once, not just the most recent one. The reasoning: if you’re standing at the machine addressing the fluid, you’re addressing whatever triggered all of them, not one reading in isolation. It also stops the escalation chain — once acknowledged, nothing further gets emailed to a supervisor or site contact over it.

Where you can do it

On mobile, right on the machine’s own screen. On the web console, from the machine’s page, from the Alerts inbox (click an alert to jump to its machine), or from the alert bell in the header.

It's logged

Once acknowledged, the Alerts inbox keeps a record of when and by whom — useful later if you need to show when an out-of-spec condition was actually noticed and addressed, not just when the reading was taken.
