Delete your KeepSpec account

Open the KeepSpec mobile app, signed in as the account you want removed:

1. Go to the Account tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
3. Review what will be removed — the screen shows the actual number of sites and checks affected, and warns if you are the last member of your organization, in which case deleting your account deletes the organization and all of its history too.
4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Deletion from the live database happens immediately, with no waiting period. No confirmation email is sent — the in-app screen is the confirmation.

If you can’t access the app — a lost device, a login you can no longer reach — email privacy@keepspec.com from the email address on the account with:

• The email address on file
• Your organization name, if you know it
• A statement that you want your account deleted

We will complete the deletion within 30 days.

• Your account record — name, email, authentication identity, and profile
• Your organization memberships and roles
• Device identifiers registered for push notifications on your account

• The fluid checks you recorded. Each one is a statement that a particular machine was measured on a particular date, kept as organizational QC history (relevant to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 audits). Your name and username are removed from these records — the measurement stays, the authorship doesn’t. If you are the last member of your organization, this history is deleted along with everything else instead.
• Billing records. Retained as required by Stripe and by tax and accounting law, for up to seven years.
• Security and audit logs. A hashed reference is kept for 12 months for fraud detection. This is not your name or email in readable form.

Deleting your account removes it from the live database immediately. Encrypted backups are taken hourly and kept for seven days, and nightly and kept for approximately thirteen months — your data persists in those backups until each one ages out. We do not alter individual records inside historical backups, since doing so would compromise their integrity as a recovery mechanism.
